It offers a perfect balance of strength-to-weight ratio and is easy to weld, machine, and fabricate. Titanium Grade 2 is the most widely used commercially pure titanium due to its versatile mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing and mildly reducing environments.
